I used this discarded warrior drawing to try to make lines a bit like William Blake and think what I could do with them.
Finally: a snake so big and evil he didn't quite all fit on the scanner.

All of this is great. If I started singling out ones that are particularly good, I would end up refering to all of them. But, I do like that warrior particularly. And the falling cat. Cats have mystical powers when in freefall. And the rest.

Most of these are mostly watercolour/ gouache.
Then there are those red pastel kitties that I mentioned. I am getting into pastels, but as I'm also striving for more control and less mess, I think they're best used sparingly and subtle-ly.
The big snake is painted on quite heavy Royal Watercolour society NOT paper, which I like more than I thought. Also because of the tooth, it's good for combining watercolour and pastel.
it's all just pigment, it's a matter of making it all combine gracefully.

Getting somewhere though... need to play to my strengths more.
I now have a show of my wrestling stuff in September, so a good timescale for getting my head screwed on, maybe making some big watercolours using all my memories.
