So this year I am going to try watercolour... in fact I am quite excited about this and thinking about it while working at the camera shop, thinking of sponges and honey.
Oh and I tried Marlo as an experimental initial muse. She drew me and my sister Hannie so I suppose after that I felt a a bit like I was allowed, though I began casually.
This one's at a disadvantage for being the first, and horizontal, it will come out small on the blog... click to enlarge.
Mr old timey caricature yawn king doesn't care.
Was watching Inland Empire during this, wondering whether to throw caution to the wind and go much weirder in future

Those last 2 are especially lovely.
Your watercolor work is delicious. I love all of these, but the bottom one is my favorite.
Oh good Marlo I'm glad you approve. Phew. !
I used some of the ones you had on Facebook for reference... If I blogged all the sketches you'd be able to tell which. But I might start keeping sketches secret.
Thank you Jesse and Chrissie.
The bottom one I wasn't sure about, I actually added some stuff to it after the blog and made it a bit darker.
I vote weirder... I always do.
- trevor.
PS honey is tops, sponges are overrated.
And I wasn't enthusiastic enough in the original post about Marlo as a muse. Marlo is a tip top muse. And she gives good blog comment to boot.
Freaking astounding-amazing!!! I'm suddenly a huge fan!
Oh my god! Jazz made visible!!!
