Those are funky!
digital silliness is the best kind of digital.
I'm inclined to agree Jesse. Computer art programs make me think of the 80s and Amiga deluxe paint And the first computer art I saw on the BBC children's art programme Hart Beat being done usually to The Art Of Noise. So it makes me think of wow magical future fun.
I'm not really up for hunching over the screen fiddling over some time-consuming rendering that will end up looking a bit like a photomanipulation anyway.
Also if I try really hard to replicate the process of a good painting, I'll feel I'd be better off doing a real one.
I kind of like finding the unique idiosyncrasies of digital, and using the advantage of 'undo' to make the best strokes with the most flair.
I haven't been to your blog in a long time and I see that I have been missing some beautiful work!
A great deal of useful information for me!
